Biography

Alexander Shlychkov was born in the city of Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar Territory. As part of the national team of the Donetsk region, he became a prize-winner of the Ukrainian Karate Championship and fulfilled the standard for candidate master of sports in karate.

  • In 1983 – 1985, Alexander Shlychkov served in Afghanistan as part of a limited contingent of Soviet troops.

  • In 1986, he participated in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

  • In 1990, he retired from the Armed Forces due to poor health with the rank of captain.

  • In the early 90s, Shlychkov, under the Voronezh Regional Sports Committee, organized and headed the Voronezh Regional Martial Arts Sports School «Shield», where he began to actively develop and promote martial arts.

Taekwondo

  • From December 1990 to March 1991, he completed an internship at the taekwondo department at one of the leading educational institutions in Korea - Kyung Hee University (Seoul).

  • Since 1991, Alexander Shlychkov has headed the Voronezh Regional Taekwondo Federation WTF.

  • Since 2010, Shlychkov has been promoting a healthy lifestyle and involving people with disabilities in sports. After the creation of the All-Russian Taekwondo Federation for Disabled People with Musculoskeletal Disabilities, he became its vice-president, and in 2013 — president. In 2011, at the first European Championship, the Russian team took first place as a team, receiving 5 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze awards.

  • In 2012, Alexander Shlychkov headed the European Para-Taekwondo Union. One of the key achievements in his position was the inclusion of the discipline of para-taekwondo in the program of the Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020. On the eve of the 11th Paralympic Games, held in 2014 in Sochi, the premiere of a film about para-taekwondo athletes «Strong in Spirit» took place. Alexander Shlychkov acted as the producer of this film, which was directed by Andrei Nikishin.

  • In March 2014, Alexander Shlychkov became director of the Power of the «Spirit Charitable Foundation», designed to support people with disabilities and also actively promote a healthy lifestyle.
    Together with the World Class network of fitness clubs, we came up with a public initiative and began working to increase the accessibility of sports activities for people with disabilities in Moscow.

  • In December 2015, by Resolution of the Moscow City Duma No. 286 «For services to the city community,» Alexander Shlychkov was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Moscow City Duma.

Martial arts of Southeast Asia

  • Since January 2016, Alexander Shlychkov has been actively involved in developing sports and cultural ties with the countries of Southeast Asia, devoting all his free time to studying traditional martial arts of this region.

    The Lethwei Burmese Boxing training process took place at the Myanmar Traditional Boxing School at the famous Thein Phyu Stadium in Yangon under the patronage of the President of the Myanmar Lethwei Federation, Mr. U Thein Aung. For the achieved results in the development and development of Lethwei, in February 2018, Alexander Shlychkov was appointed President of the European Association of Traditional Burmese Boxing (Lethwei).

  • In 2017, Alexander Shlychkov completed an internship at the Singapore Pencak Silat Federation under the guidance of world champion and President of the Asian Pencak Silat Federation Sheik Alauddin Yakub and received a master's degree with the right to teach and develop this area.

  • Academic research formed the basis for the study of traditional Filipino martial arts. The first acquaintance with the Pekiti Tirsia Kali school was in 2017 in Moscow, when Alexander invited one of the leading instructors to conduct a month-long training course. At the end of the same year, Alexander conducts a week-long course with master Nonoy Garucho in Bacolod on Negros Island. At the invitation of the patriarch of the Pekiti Tirsia Kali school, Grand Master Leo Gaye Alexander has been studying an individual program for a month and a half. After this, business trips to the Philippines became regular and extended, with visits to competitions, conventions and training camps with both civilian and military specialists.

  • In 2018, Alexander Shlychkov, at the invitation of the President of the Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (PEKAF), Senator Miguel Zubiri, became a member of the Philippine federation.

International project «Golden Triangle»

  • In 2018, Alexander Shlychkov became one of the founders and President of the international expert and professional community «Golden Triangle».

International Project (System) «Golden Triangle System» International Project is an expert and professional community of leading international instructors, doctors, teachers representing various types of applied martial arts.

International project (System) «Golden Triangle» is developing proprietary programs for various social groups, individual units of law enforcement agencies and conducting trainings in order to minimize the time spent on mastering applied motor skills, forming stable reflexes adequate to extreme situations, forming a stable model of behavior that promotes suppression attack the aggressor in the shortest possible time and with the minimum possible losses.

The developed techniques allow you to quickly move from working in close combat without weapons to using special means, bladed weapons and firearms.

The training programs of the «Golden Triangle» also include sections on health and rehabilitation techniques. For example, the author’s «Spiral» program allows not only to relieve stress from the spine, creating a muscular corset of the musculoskeletal system, but also to improve results in fire training, giving the trainee a reliable shooting platform that ensures accurate fire, including in movement.

The Methodological Council of the «Golden Triangle» includes not only international-level instructors who took part in hostilities, but also teachers and doctors who have academic degrees and are holders of patented Russian health and rehabilitation techniques.

International project «Golden Triangle» was first presented and tested for two months with units of the Main Directorate of Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the basis of CSKA at the end of 2018. Alexander Shlychkov is a member of the Public Council under the Head of the Main Directorate of Military Police of the Moscow Region.

The main objective of the first training seminar was to teach the effective use of special equipment and confidently repel attacks on military police officers serving in Syria

  • From September to December 2019, the masters of the «Golden Triangle» conducted an instructor course with employees of the operational units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The course program was aimed at developing skills capable of ensuring the personal safety of police officers when bladed weapons are used against them.

  • In mid-July 2019, at the invitation of the Assistant to the Head of the Chechen Republic for the power unit, First Deputy Head of the Federal Military Service for the Emergency Operations of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic, Daniil Martynov, a week-long training was held at the Russian University of Special Forces on the technique of conducting close combat with the use of edged weapons with the OMON officers of the FSVNG of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic.

  • In 2019, a master class was held for the personnel of the special forces OMON, SOBR, OMON (in transport) of the Office of the Russian Guard in the Voronezh Region on the techniques and tactics of actions of special forces officers when repelling an armed attack and detention.

  • Starting from October 2019 to March 2020, the «Golden Triangle» methodology was tested with employees of special purpose departments of the territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service. Classes with employees of special purpose departments of the territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service were held on the basis of the OSN UFSIN of Russia in Moscow and the OSN UFSIN of Russia in the Moscow region within the framework of training time, twice a week for each department, which made it possible to: analyze primary information about the state of the professional level applied physical training of employees, receive their comments and recommendations for the section “Protective actions against blows” and “Defensive actions using a rubber stick” of Chapter 11 “Combat techniques of wrestling” “Manuals on physical training of employees for the penal system of the Ministry of Justice of Russia.” The information obtained during work with employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia formed the basis for a more in-depth study with the involvement of research staff of the Federal Penitentiary Service system. The collected material allows us to develop tactical and technical specifications for research work aimed at further increasing the level of professional-applied physical training of employees of the penal system and eliminating identified biomechanical characteristics that are incorrect from the point of view of combat use.

  • In 2019, Alexander Shlychkov was elected President of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Public Organization for the Development of Philippine Martial Arts, which in 2020 became a member of the Russian Martial Arts Union and became part of the World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation.

  • In 2020, Alexander Shlychkov was elected to the Presidium of the Army Tactical Shooting Federation.

    Shlychkov Alexander Gennadievich is a candidate of pedagogical sciences and the author of a number of works published on the topic of his dissertation in leading journals and publications included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.

    Representatives of the law enforcement agencies of the CIS countries also showed interest in the original methods developed by the team headed by Alexander Shlychkov. Every year, starting from 2018, seminars are held with personnel of the state defense and security service of the Republic of Moldova. The director of the service, Yaroslav Martin, announced official gratitude for the assistance provided in improving the professional level of his subordinates.

  • In December 2019, at the invitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, a training seminar was held with personnel of the Shumkar special forces regiment to improve the professional skills of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. By order of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Alexander Shlychkov was presented with a Letter of Gratitude.
