Gymnastics «Spiral»
Author's rehabilitation technique «Spiral»
A set of psychophysical exercises for the prevention and treatment of diseases, restoration of functional systems of the body.
It is used both for the general development of a person, his creative abilities, motor functions, coordination, increasing the body’s resistance to environmental conditions, and for strengthening the spine, joints, and preventing diseases of the human musculoskeletal system. The goal of gymnastics is to perform exercises that are optimal from the point of view of biomechanics, to launch the correct operation of a single self-developing and self-regulating biological system of a person, thereby developing and improving his musculoskeletal system and maximizing his individual motor potential. «Spiral» gymnastics is based on the work of two counterweights: the shoulders and the pelvis, the rotation of which is realized in a position of stable balance within the perimeter of the body.
The Spiral gymnastics method includes a set of exercises with and without exercise equipment, which are performed along closed trajectories (circle, figure eight, etc.) and have no stops or corners. Muscular force is used to hold a limb or exercise machine rotating by inertia — in the plane provided by the anatomical structure of the person. Thus, performing these exercises allows you to build a muscular framework, working out the smallest muscles that are not involved in normal movements around each rotating joint in the body. Circular trajectories of rotation of the limbs allow three types of effects to be exerted on the joint: stretching, twisting and spring function. A gradual increase in the amplitude of rotation of the joint allows you to increase its motor potential.
One of the key points of gymnastics is maintaining a state of balance. The absence of distortions, asymmetrical loads, the correct position of the center of gravity is the key to a healthy spine. Spiral gymnastics is the formation of a muscular frame, strengthening of the spine and joints, prevention of spinal diseases (hernias, scoliosis, chondrosis), recovery from injuries and strokes, harmonization of metabolism, weight loss, leading to the harmonious functioning of all the body’s defense systems!
